We start off with all new GM blocks and cranks and then add a set of Scat 4340 forged steel rods and then top if off with a set of Speed Pro Hypereutectic Pistons. We build each Ls short block engine back to stock specs so you can use your factory or aftermarket performance cam and heads for a quick and easy install. Our line of Street/Strip short blocks are a great start to your performance build. We start with brand new GM blocks and bring them through our machine shop where the cylinders are honed to ensure they are round and straight, crankshaft mainlines are line honed and oil clearances set on both main and connecting rod housings. From there we use new GM factory crankshafts, Scat 4340 forged steel connecting rods with ARP bolts, Mahle Motorsports forged pistons, Plasma Moly rings and Clevite Main and Rod Bearings. Rotating assemblies are balanced and all components are carefully inspected and cleaned before the final assembly.
